About Trash Hero

Originally founded in Thailand in 2013, Trash Hero has expanded all throughout Southeast Asia and now all around the world. As of end of 2019, Trash hero has organized 314,421 volunteers worldwide to participate in 9,447 cleanups, removing 1,542,107 kg of garbage from beaches and cities.

The Trash Hero mission is to bring communities together to clean and reduce waste. They do this through: (1) Action and Awareness (2) Education (3) Sustainable Projects and (4) Inspiration. They motivate people to become Trash Heroes in their everyday lives.

Locations in Thailand

Trash hero has organized trash cleanup events in 30+ locations in Thailand, many of them popular tourist destinations. Some popular locations include: Chiang Mai, Bangkok, Koh Lanta, Koh Samui, Koh Phi Phi and Phuket. There are also many locations throughout Southeast Asia if you have plans to visit neighboring countries.

Volunteering at Trash Hero

Trash Hero organizes weekly and monthly cleanup events. You just need to show up, there is no cost and no sign-up. There are usually gloves and garbage bags supplied with the help of sponsors. Join the local community to keep the beaches and cities clean and free from waste and participate in the broader awareness of protecting the environment. Plus, you get to spend the day outside and leave the surroundings more beautiful than when you arrived.
